The dentists I've had here are great, however they tend to stay no more than a year or two, so you build a relationship and then they leave. Unfortunately the reception is permanently busy, the phone rings and is ignored, and you can be made to feel rushed. One or two extra receptionists, and this would be a 4* review.
Rude receptionists and dental nurses. If the dentist gives advice and you want to ask questions, dental nurses, for some bizarre reason, feel the need to interfere with their 2 pence worth as if they are likely to know more than the dentist! Reception staff is also exceptionally rude and would always choose typing and tidying up papers on their desks to service customers. Dentists are incompetent. Mine wanted to install a crown on a tooth that was wobbly and until I pointed it out, he was absolutely happy to proceed with his advice and only when I did point it out said it was not possible! This practice is absolutely ridiculous and needs to rethink the way the serve their customers. Someone needs to remind them that their staff is all paid by the customer through our taxes!!!!!! So they are absolutely NOT doing us a favour given the fact that we also pay fees for every treatment we have!
Its rarely ever the dentist but the staff on reception who feel they are on a power trip. If your dentist sees your 5 year old on a Tuesday who has an infection and clearly says to you... if it gets worse please bring him back ... and it does get worse... BUT the receptionist decides its her call to decline a 5 year old who has been in agony for over 5 days a chance to be seen by a dentist ... This is what you call a member of staff who lacks any empathy whatsoever... I appreciate being told there are no appointments but previously decent staff have gone and asked the dentist if they have 5 mins to see him... absolutely no try in helping a helpless parent... just NO NO NO... nothing we can do... they need to get better staff on reception... turning a way a child in agony when I was told by the dentist to return straight away ... but instead ... oh go find another dentist who can fit you in ... without even speaking to a dentist about th situation?! Didnt ask name nothing.... REALLY?!Shocking place.... doesnt matter how good the dentist is... you dont want to be in a practice that have Ignorant receptionists greeting you !
Below standard service to be honest. They need to move into the 21st century.I tried to book a dental checkup for me and my children but they had decided registered users because we hadn't been for a while. Good dentist never stay for long which means you're passed onto the subpar ones.
